Hi I’m Greg, and welcome to my personal website. Right now there’s not much to see. Currently I’ve only posted my solutions to Apostol, Tom M. Introduction to Analytic Number Theory. Springer-Verlag, New York, 1976, but I plan to make more posts about math and computer science in the near future.
I’m a self study student..just located your manual.thank you very much.
Greg, thank you very much for this manual! For chapters 5 & 6, I got stuck on 2-3 problems each, & you helped me to continue on free of nagging feeling about those missed problems! I was curious about the proof of Theorem 7.2, p. 47. Is it true that p need not be the smallest prime in this proof? A corollary of Th.7.2 would then be that all prime factors of numbers N! + 1 are of form 4k+1, none of form 4k-1?
THanks for your insights on this,
JOseph
